Option 1 — Delete from the app (fastest)

If you still have BlueList installed and can sign in, deleting your account takes a few seconds:

  1. Open BlueList and make sure you're signed in.
  2. Go to the Profile tab (or Settings).
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm. For your security you may be asked to sign in again before the deletion is processed.

This cannot be undone

Once confirmed, your account and its data are permanently removed. There is no recovery and no way to restore your recipes, lists or cookbooks afterwards.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, can't sign in, or simply prefer to ask us directly, send a deletion request and we'll take care of it:

  1. Email us from the same email address you used to register in BlueList (this is how we verify the request is really yours).
  2. Use the subject line “Delete my account”.
  3. Send it to the address below. We'll confirm once your account and data have been erased.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove all of the following from our servers:

  • Your account and sign-in credentials (email/password or Google login).
  • Your profile: display name, email address and profile photo.
  • All your content: recipes, shopping lists, products, cookbooks, meal plans and loyalty cards stored in the cloud.
  • Any images you uploaded (recipe covers, cookbook covers, profile picture).
  • Shared content you own and its invite links, so nobody can keep accessing it after deletion.

What is kept, and for how long

We keep as little as legally possible:

  • Nothing personal is retained once the deletion is processed — your profile and content are erased immediately.
  • Purchase and subscription records are managed by Apple's App Store and Google Play, not by us. We cannot delete those on your behalf; you can manage them from your Apple ID or Google account. Deleting your BlueList account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it from the store first.
  • Routine server backups may take up to 30 days to cycle out, after which any residual copies are gone.

How long it takes

Deletions made from inside the app are immediate. Email requests are processed within 30 days, and usually much sooner. We'll email you a confirmation once it's done.
