Who is responsible for your data
BlueList is developed and operated by Lasky, an independent app developer. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Lasky is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Your Account
To use BlueList — shopping lists, recipes, cookbooks and meal planning — you need to create an account. To do that, we only ask for the essentials:
- Your email address and password (or your Google account), used solely to log you in securely.
- A display name, which is shown when you share content with other people.
We do not collect your phone number, physical location, or any other personal details beyond what's listed above.
Your Lists, Recipes and Meal Plans
Everything you create in BlueList — your shopping lists, products, recipes, cookbooks and meal calendar — is stored securely in the cloud so it stays in sync across all your devices and can be shared with whoever you choose.
This content belongs to you. We do not read it, analyze it, or use it for any purpose other than making the app work for you.
Camera and Photos
BlueList can use your camera to scan barcodes and quickly add products to your lists — no typing needed. Photos taken during scanning are never stored or sent anywhere.
You can also choose images from your photo gallery to attach to recipes or products. These are only uploaded if you explicitly select them.
Sharing with Others
BlueList lets you share recipes, cookbooks and shopping lists with friends or family using a unique link or code. A few things to keep in mind:
- Anyone with the link or code will be able to see the content you've shared.
- Your display name may be visible to the people you share with.
- You can stop sharing any item at any time from the app's settings.
Offline Access
BlueList keeps a local copy of your data on your device so the app works even without an internet connection. Your lists and recipes sync automatically to the cloud whenever you're back online.
Cloud Storage and Security
Your data is stored using Google Firebase, a secure and widely trusted cloud platform. Firebase handles login, data storage and image uploads — all with encryption both in transit and at rest.

Analytics and Diagnostics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how people use BlueList — which features are used, and where the app crashes or errors — so we can improve it. This includes usage events and device/app identifiers.
We never use this data to show you advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for their own purposes. You can opt out at any time from your device settings (for example, by resetting or limiting your advertising identifier), and on Android you can decline analytics if prompted.
Third-Party Services
To provide our services, BlueList relies on industry-standard third-party providers:
- Google Firebase: Used for user authentication, database storage, and image hosting.
- Payment Processors: Used to securely handle Premium subscriptions (if applicable).
We recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies to understand how they handle your data.
Your Rights
You have full control over your personal data. Under the GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Export your lists, recipes, cookbooks, and meal plans (data portability).
- Object to or restrict certain processing, such as analytics.
- Request the full deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).

Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time — either directly from the app's settings, or by sending us a request by email. Once processed, your personal data and content are permanently erased from our servers; residual backups cycle out within 30 days.

Legal Basis and Data Retention
We process your account and content data to provide the service you asked for (performance of our contract with you), and we use analytics on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the app, which you can object to at any time.
We keep your personal data only for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, it is erased as described above. We do not store payment card details: subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple and Google.
Children
BlueList is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page. We recommend checking back occasionally.
